Payment taking a while? Here's what to check

Most payments unlock in seconds — this page is for when one doesn't.

Premium unlocks on Plumaden are paid on the Algorand blockchain, straight from your wallet. We watch the chain for your payment and unlock the post automatically — usually within a few seconds. If yours is taking longer, work through this page before worrying.

Check a specific payment

Paste the transaction ID from your wallet (or the block explorer) and we'll find it and re-check it on-chain right now. Signed in? You can also look one up by the payment reference from your unlock page.

How a payment moves

Every payment passes through a few stages. Only the first two affect what you see:

  • Pending — we haven't matched your transaction on-chain yet. The unlock page sits here while it waits.
  • Paid — we found your transaction. The post unlocks the moment this happens — nothing else is required from you.
  • Settled — behind the scenes, the creator has been paid out. This happens after you already have access; there's nothing for you to do.

Two other states you might run into:

  • Expired — each unlock page is valid for about 30 minutes. If it expires before you've sent anything, just reopen the post and start a fresh unlock. If you already sent a payment, see already paid but it expired? below before paying again.
  • Partial — if you sent less than the price, the payment stays pending. Send the remaining amount with the same memo and it'll complete.

First, check these

Most "stuck" payments come down to one of these:

  • Did your wallet actually send? Check your wallet's history for a confirmed transaction — not just a tap of the button.
  • Right network? The payment must go out on the Algorand network. Sending on another network can lose the funds.
  • Right amount? It must cover the full price. Send too little and it sits as a partial payment (see above).
  • Memo still attached? We match your payment by the memo/note shown on the unlock page. If your wallet stripped it, we can't link the payment to your post.
  • Enough ALGO for the fee and reserve? Every transaction needs a little ALGO on hand even when you pay in another currency. If you funded exactly the price, see how much to fund.

How long should it take?

Normally a few seconds. Leave the unlock page open — it keeps checking on its own — or tap the "I already paid — check now" button to force an immediate look. If the page expired and you hadn't sent anything yet, reopen the post and start again.

Already paid but it expired?

If you sent a payment right as the unlock page expired, it may have arrived just too late for us to match it automatically. Don't send it again — a second payment would mean paying twice, with the first one needing manual help to sort out. Instead, reach out with your transaction ID (copy it from your wallet or the block explorer) and we'll match or return it.

Refunds

If you overpay (send more than the price), the extra is refunded automatically to the address you paid from. If you believe you paid the correct amount with the right memo but never got access, don't send it again — reach out with your transaction ID (you can copy it from your wallet or the block explorer) and we'll trace it.

Still stuck?

Tip: if you sign in before paying, your unlocks and a live payment status are saved to your account — handy if a payment needs following up.
